Individual Psychotherapy

  • To start, send me a message via the form at the bottom of this page.

We will begin with a free 15 minute phone consultation— this will give us a chance to discuss what you’re facing; learn what your goals are; and to get answers to any questions you may have. If it seems we are a good fit, we’ll schedule our first session and secure your regular weekly session time. Over the course of our first few sessions, I will ask you questions about your past and present context to tailor your treatment plan to your life and your goals.

I typically offer sessions Monday through Thursday, 12:00pm-9:00pm

  • Sessions

Sessions are 50-55 mintues in length. We will begin with a brief check-in and intention setting for the direction of the session. Our therapy will be a non-judgmental, compassionate collaboration between us; nothing in this space will ever happen without your awareness and consent. We are collaborators; we’ll proceed conversationally, woman to woman. You may expect both cognitive and somatic (body-based) interventions that are designed for you, specifically. Our sessions will leave plenty of room for you to share openly, for as long as you need, while also offering guided structure to ensure we meet your goals.

    My Style

My approach is warm, curious, engaged, and I often use humour and analogies to make concepts accessible and actionable. I use a holistic, non-pathologizing approach; this means that I am more interested in understanding you than judging or labeling you. I am highly qualified to guide your therapeutic treatment, yet I am not one of those therapists that thinks they are better than you. I’m the expert in mental health, and you’re the expert in your life. You are why I am here, and I honor you.

Please Note: I cannot guarantee that I won’t talk about corgis at some point in our sessions. You have been warned.

  • Theory

My practice draws from Eastern and Grecian philosophies, physiology, communication theory, positive psychology, nutrition science, and neurobiology. Change happens in the safety of our therapeutic relationship; when you are at home in your body; when your life and actions mirror your values; when you have the tools to meet life with ease, directness, and confidence; when you feel your energy, humming and abundant; when all parts of you are integrated, as a Whole Woman.

    Modalities

    • Psychodynamic Therapy

    • Somatics (Body-Mind Therapy)

    • Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)

    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

    • Existential Psychotherapy

  • I am certified in Nutrition Science by Stanford. I do not endorse or provide diets, meal plans, or medical advice. I do serve as an education resource for clients who are curious about: the basics of nutrition science; how to sort thorough all the conflicting information; and how their lives are impacted by the strong link between nutrition and mental health shown in recent research. This is part of a larger discussion in therapy about how our relationship to food can impact our physical and mental health.

I own a separate non-therapy, non-medical coaching practice: Metabolic Health Coaching LLC. I healed my diabetes, fibromyalgia, brain fog, chronic fatigue, and other maladies, & lost over 130 lbs naturally— without drugs, surgery, or deprivation. I provide solutions-focused peer-coaching for women with related health goals.

In either practice, I do not offer medical advice, nor do I offer services to diagnose or treat diseases.

Please note: A therapy client may not become a coaching client. Coaching clients may become therapy clients following a complete end to coaching services, and provided it is fully ethical to do so.

  • All services are held solely via a secure telehealth platform, serving clients anywhere in the state of Oregon. You will need a computer to participate in sessions and a smartphone to sign up for the payment processor.
